Brownies

2/3 cup sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Melt the butter and 
chocolate over double boiler or in microwave. Add sugar 
gradually to eggs, beating thoroughly with electric mixer 
then add cooled chocolate mixture and blend. Add flour and 
mix well. Add nuts and vanilla. Bake in greased pan 8 by 8 
by 2 at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes or until done. 
Cool in pan and cut.
